For Loot and Glory is a cooperative game targeted at friends that want to have fun together, but also at others with a more competitive mindset. Players slip into the role of vikings and their task is to raid and plunder the English coast. But they will have to fight increasingly stronger opponents, so if they stay too long they might not come back alive!

I worked on this game together with a team of a total of six people, in which I was the Producer and Lead Designer, but also did some hands on development whenever I had time to spare. I worked on our armory system where players could equip themselves before the battle, as well as the UI.

We decided to use Unreal Engine 4 for this project, and even though we were all unfamiliar with the engine we managed this fairly well. However, the multiplayer programming was a constant issue, so in the end the game was not as good as we had hoped.

We were selected to exhibit our game at Indievelopment, a local games conference in Utrecht, to showcase our study programme. Many visitors enjoyed our demo, despite occasional technical hiccups.
