MindsEye is a narrative driven, single-player action-adventure thriller set in the near-future fictional desert city of Redrock. It is a AAA quality third-person shooter with semi-open world elements created in Unreal Engine 5. It also features the Build.ME UGC creation tools which players can use to build all kinds of content, and which is also used internally to create additional experiences in the MindsEye universe.
I worked on MindsEye for various periods during my time at Build a Rocket Boy. In the beginning I helped iterate on parts of the gameplay, such as minigames and a mission that ended up being cut. Most recently, I worked on integrating the UGC-created content into the game, handling the player flow and UX as well as the integration of the editor and the play mode into the Redrock City map. I supported our other technical and content designers with new functionalities, bugfixes, and tips within my areas of expertise.
